Beginning of a new year!  Already two closings scheduled for buyers to close on new homes for them.

Husband leaving on Thursday for his annual trip to Pennsylvania.  His youngest son lives there.  I'll keep the dogs, keep the home fires burning and plan for a very "sweet" 2014.

Can't believe how much snow and how cold it is here in Iowa.  Showed one of those homes south of Washington, Iowa on Saturday and it was bitter cold.

Working on a new "red" square dance skirt for Feb. 4.  That is the Rapid Eights sponsored "heart dance."  I did post a picture of my new "prairie skirt" or also known as my Santa Fe skirt.  I will post it here also.

Almost to 2014!  2013 has been a roller-coaster ride for me but I am ready to face 2014!

Hawkeye Parade for the University of Iowa homecoming.  So proud was so amazed that I could walk nearly the whole thing...I broke the ball off my hip about 3 years ago!

Last week was Sports evening at the Rapid Eights Square Dance club in Marion, Iowa.  Because I work (real estate in Iowa City, support the Iowa Hawkeyes), I made a Hawkeye square dance skirt with a black top.  Enjoy!  It was such fun!

Everyone needs a little relaxation in addition to work and family.  My husband and I square dance; belong to two groups and attend the 3rd.  Ocean Waves Square Dance Club meets the second and fourth Friday at the Iowa City Rec Center at 7:30 PM.  In addition, Shirts and Skirts of Ainsworth/Riverside meets at the Ainsworth Grade School Gym on the first and third Saturday.  Join us, won't you???

Visited my dear brother in November, 2012.  One year ago in October, 2011, he fell from the bed of his pick-up and is now in a nursing home in Phoenix.  Here is a great picture of him and I.  I love you, brother.

Sure hated to cut down the tree!

I love the trees.  But I was afraid that if this tree blew down, it would "wipe out the Airstream, the garage and the HOUSE!  So said good-buy to the tree yesterday.

Riverside home

It is finally ours (and the bank, of course).  Feels wonderful to finally have a home again in Iowa.  I hope our family from near and far can "come on down." 

I love trees but this next week, we have made arrangements for a tree to be removed.  (It is actually the big one to the left.  It has broken branches and if it fell, it would destroy the Airstream, the garage and the house.  Time for it to come down...but I sure hate it.

Life in New Mexico

Well, it has been a long time. Time to update. Moved to New Mexico in August, 2011 and then went back to Iowa in September, 2011 for a few days.

Guess the Lord knew what I needed to do...my brother had a tragic accident in October and with me being in NM (300 miles from him, tho) I do get to see him. As of today, he is still paralyzed and is in Advanced Care Hospital of Southern New Mexico in Las Cruces. Hope he can move to rehab soon.

Well, next week starts a new phase. My husband is moving to Tucumcari, NM. I will stay here and continue to work in real estate. He will work at completing our retirement home there. We have leased our home here and I will stay with friends and family.
